Al seleccionar un implante discal cervical, es esencial considerar:
When selecting a cervical disc implant, it is essential to consider:
Will neck mobility be preserved? The FCI is notable for preserving neck mobility after surgery, which is beneficial for our patients.
How invasive is the procedure?: The FCI implant offers a microsurgical approach, and even the skin is sutured internally so there is no "stitch removal."
What is the recovery time?: Hospitalization for these surgeries is 2.5 days, with a follow-up visit 7 days after discharge and a final visit 30 days after surgery.
How do I know if my body will reject the implant?: The ICF is an implant manufactured from an ELI-grade titanium, aluminum, and vanadium alloy that is biocompatible and even bioinert.

I chose the FCI: How does it work?
The FCI has been designed in 24 different sizes to accommodate the variety of disc spaces our patients have.
The FCI is placed where the herniated cervical vertebral disc was without requiring any fixation means such as screws, nails, or others, since its design makes it easy to compress for implantation and once in place it returns to its original size.
Thanks to its "S" shape, it maintains flexion and extension of the cervical spine at the level of the operation, and also allows the weight of the head to be supported more naturally.
The presence of "teeth" on its upper and lower surfaces anchors it to the vertebrae so that even if the vertebrae are reabsorbed or deformed over the years, the ICF remains functional.
